Class Schedule 1st Quarter 2010

Throughout the year Dr. Parker will be teaching classes to increase your awareness of your animals health and to help you recognize when there is a problem before it becomes a crisis. All classes are open to the general public and are held at the clinic unless noted. (Please see topics as well as dates, times and pricing below)

CRANIAL SACRAL CLASSES

Equine & Small Animal Functional Anatomy and Physiology - Check out our new one day anatomy and physiology class for horses, dogs and cats. Learn exactly how their diet affects them and how they move by gaining a deeper understanding of the connections in the body.  Call the office for a list of recommended books. **This class is a prerequisite for the Animal Cranial Sacral classes**

Sunday, February 7th, 8a.m. to 5p.m.   


Animal Cranial Sacral Osteopathy (part I) - (prerequisite anatomy and physiology - or equivalent) This is the first 2 days of a 4 day intensive course with 50% hands-on learning. Power point presentation is followed up with actual study on bones and live animals.
($260 including notes and snacks)
Saturday, March 13th (9a.m. to 5p.m.) and Sunday, March 14th (1p.m. to 6p.m.)

Animal Cranial Sacral Osteopathy (part II) - (prerequisite Equine Cranial Sacral Osteopathy (part I)  This is the second weekend and like part one will be 50% hands-on instruction with live animals. You will leave this course with the tools to perform a 10-step cranial sacral treatment on your own horse, dog or cat.  (Click here for Photos)

BASIC HOLISTIC CLASSES

Natural Rearing for Carnivores (Raising Dogs and Cats from A to Z) - Come learn more about how to reduce vet bills and suffering for your animals with true preventative care! This 5 hour class covers in depth nutrition and detailed vaccine recommendations for the young and old as well as an introduction to other holistic methods to keep your animal safe and healthy. ($100 including notes and snacks) 

Saturday, April 24th, 8a.m. to 1p.m.

Holistic Emergency First Aid for Dogs & Cats - 4 hour power point and hands on class which will teach you how to perform a thorough physical on your own animal, how to recognize an emergency situation and how to respond.  

($125 including notes and small animal emergency kit)

Saturday, April 17th, 2a.m. to 6p.m.

Holistic Emergency First Aid for Horses- 4 hour power point and hands on class which will teach you how to perform a thorough physical on your own animal, how to recognize an emergency situation and how to respond. 
($145 including notes and equine emergency kit) 
Sunday, April 18th, 2p.m. to 6p.m.   


HOMEOPATHY CLASSES

Homeopathy Basics - This 4 hour power point introduction to Homeopathy will get your feet wet about this amazing and mysterious German modality which has been around for over 200 years. You will learn the background and history as well as which remedies to use in acute situations.  
($80 including notes)  
Saturday, February 20th, 9a.m. to 1p.m. 
  

Homeopathy Advanced - (prerequisite Homeopathy Basics - or equivalent) This 4 hour power point presentation will take you deeper into chronic constitutional prescribing and teach you how to take a case, look up remedies and give the proper dosage. 
($80 including notes)
